Although Yvaine is my first Whippet, she is far from my first purebred dog. Better known to her friends and family as Bean, Yvaine landed in my life at just the right moment. She was bred by Bretica Whippets in Saskatchewan. Her lineage goes back to some of the top winning Whippets in Canada, with records in all-breed competition that still stand today. Yvaine fills my heart in a way I never thought possible after the death of my Ridgeback, Raimi in 2017. She excels in everything she does, from the show ring to the sporting field.
Conformation
Yvaine started her Canadian Championship journey just days before the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak. Once shows started again in 2021, she racked up six group placements two weekends in a row and finished easily.
Lure Coursing
Yvaine threw herself into lure coursing with reckless abandon. She earned her Sprinter Novice and Chase Ability titles and will continue to "chase the bunny" for years to come.

Disc Dog
We plan to capitalize on Yvaine's undying love of the Frisbee in the coming year and hope to compete at local events. She is wholly commited to the disc to the point of exhaustion; mine, not hers.
Snuggle Bug
A good cuddle after a day of exploring the woods, chasing the Frisbee, and general naughtiness is all Yvaine wants out of life. I don't mind saying I'm happy to oblige.

Tinsel arrived in Nova Scota in March 2022 from Aisling Whippets of Ontario. I asked for an outgoing girl with lots of personality. The saying "Be careful what you wish for" springs to mind. Tinsel was born on Christmas day and was a gift of sweet chaos during a tough time in our lives. Tinsel started her show career in July 2022 and finished it at 9.5 months after just three weekends out. Her win record includes: Hound Group First Hound Group Second Two Hound Group 4th Six Best Puppy in Group

WhistleStop Time for Some Thrilling Heroics

Welcome to Jayne, our first homebred Whippet! He's a handsome little fellow with wisdom well beyond his age and I'm looking forward to many adventures with him! He's a magical combination of some of the best Whippet lines in North America and I have high hopes for his future. 2024 marks the start of his entry into the show and coursing worlds!
